现如今，时代前进的河流奔涌向前，新兴产业层出不穷，传统行业却面临日渐式微的困境。作为时代的接班人，职业选择是我们无法回避的话题。但在高速发展、新旧更迭的时代语境下，我们又该做出怎样的选择？

不可否认，大多数人选择职业的首要目标即是获取个人最大利益。从这一方面来看，新兴行业顺时代潮流而生，发展机会多、利益期望高，符合人们收益最大化的愿望。因此，选择新兴行业无可非议。但是，传统行业的收益虽绝大多数无法与新兴行业相提并论，许多传统行业却代表着传统、积淀了文化，从保护传统、传承文化的角度而言，也绝不能被轻视。一时之间，选择的天平难以平衡，令人左右为难。

于是便出现了两种极端的选择：有人完全丢弃传统行业，转而追寻新兴潮流；有人为保护传统行业而抵触新行业，欲为传统行业构筑重生温床。然而，丢弃传统绝不可取，与时代潮流相逆亦非明智之举。传统和新兴的关系不是也不应是你死我活，我们的职业选择更不应是拾一弃另。我们可以选择投身新兴，也可以选择回归传统，但在选择的天平上，二者的砝码应有相同的重量。

但是，回归问题的本质，无论我们做出何种选择，都应怀着一颗服务社会、创造价值的心。陈独秀曾言：“一个人存在的时候，要创造幸福；并且留在世上，让后人也能享受幸福。”比我们选择何种职业更重要的，是我们能否在我们的职业上实现人生价值和社会价值的最大化。如果选择新兴行业，我们可以凭借“走在时代最前头”的优势，开创更新的道路，为时代发展搭建阶梯；如果选择传统行业，我们亦可以发挥才智，让传统行业更好地适应时代趋势，为传统行业继续服务大众洞开崭新的大门。我们可以选择成为马云式的电商企业家，亦可以选择成为王顺友式的邮递员，但我们不能忘记的，是“为天地立心、为生民立命、为万世开太平”。
