进入初中，英语教学与小学相比会有一个很大的转变，无论是教材的难度还是老师的教学方式，都会向学术教育方向发展。而英语作文的核心是大量的知识积累，短期之内难以迅速提高，重在平时积累。那么到底初中英语作文易犯哪些错误呢?
一、词汇量不足，用词不准确
有一点我们很清楚，写作文我们只可能写自己会的单词和句子。很多同学可能是努力程度不够或者是不喜欢背单词，词汇量比较差，这就导致了在写作的时候思路是清晰的但卷面上写不出东西来，绞尽脑汁只好用别的简单词代替，最后写出来的文章用词幼稚甚至出错，表达也不是很到位。
同学们在写作时大多用的都是简单句和并列句。“我做了什么”，“然后又做了什么”，“最后如何如何”，显得文章很单调。这点与学生们接触到的句型数量和掌握程度有关，与老师们的指导理念也有一定的关系。本身初一学生的句型掌握水平就比较一般，很多老师为了稳定成绩也选择鼓励学生多用简单句，如果在随后的教学中一直维持这种状态不做转变，学生们很容易就会形成一种固定思维，写作时自然而然的就全用简单句了。
三、写作缺乏逻辑性，顺序混乱
学生们在写作的时候思路不够清晰，往往是看完一遍题目就直接下笔，想到哪里写哪里，使得文章结构和布局等等都不合乎逻辑。句子与句子之间也没有流畅的衔接，好像就是把许多单句拼凑在一起一样。
四、书写不够规范
很多同学除了内容上的不足，还有书写方面的问题。卷面难看、大小写混乱、符号错误、单词随意换行等等问题层出不穷，在起始阶段就没有良好的书写习惯，使得文章质量进一步下滑。规范书写是写作的基本要求，也是构成一篇好文章的必要条件。
