i’m very glad to stand here andgive you a short speech. today my topic is “life”. i hope you will like it , man’s life is a process of growing up, actually i’m standing here is a growth. if a person’s life must constituted by various choices, then i grow up along with these choices.

once i hope i can study in a college in future, however that’s passed, as you know i come here, now i wonder what the future holds for me. when i come to this school, i told to myself: this my near future, all starts here. following i will learn to become a man, a integrated man, who has a fine body, can take on important task, has independent thought, an open mind, intensive thought, has the ability to judge right and wrong, has a perfect job.

if i can achieve this “future”, i think that i really grow up. and i deeply believe kindred, good-fellowship and love will perfection and happy in the future. how to say future? maybe it’s a nice wish. lets make up our minds, stick to it and surely well enjoy our life.

different people have different ideas about success; cause people's hopes and ideas vary from one another. but i am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our striving for success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. these are the best treasures. so now i am very proud that i have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. it is my success, cause i raise up to challenge my hope.

that morning, i rode my bike to school happily as usual. on my way to the

when i came into the classroom, i found the atmosphere was quite strange.

everybody looked at me and laughed loudly. suddenly they all said in good order,happy birthday to you! then they began to sing happy birthday to you~~~~~~ that made me moved. i never told anyone about my birthday, how did they know? i believed they must have done a lot of things. at that moment, i found nothing to say but thanks instead!

after school, a thing coming as a surprise happened on me on my way back home. when i was riding suddenly a crowed of people rushed out to stopped my bike.i recogized them at once. they were my senior classmates. they all comlained to me,why don't you tell us about your birthday? don't you fear that we will let you stand treat? this time you owe us. then each of them gave a gift and a card with best wishes to me. i was deeply moved again. i suggested having a dinner together. but they all refused because of the time. then they left me saying we would ask you to pay us another day!

when i got back home, i thought of everything happened today. suddenly i felt so happy because i had such great friends around me. i thanked them from the bottom of my heart. i would value the precious friendship forever!

i have so many feelings through that special day. the only rose without thorns in the world is friendship. a true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart. truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget. one friend in a lifetime is much, two are many, three are hardly possible. stick to make friends, forlife without friends is like life on a desert island. to find one real friend in a lifetime is good fortune, to keep him is a blessing.

oneday, a guest came to the kingdom. he showed the king

a drawing.there were houses and buildings on the picture. the king was vey excited. andhe decided to listen to that man. he commanded to cut down all the trees. andhe created a new world! everyone tried to stop him, but it didn’t work.

trees werecutting down, animals were running away. tall buildings were built! at thebeginning, people liked the new city,but later something bad happened. all kinds of monsters showed up: rainmonster, hot monster, wind monster and sand monster. people felt sick with theenvironment, because the new citybrought a lot of pollution. people missed the forest, the animals and thelovely city they used to live in. but they were not able to change it at all.they became homeless and had to abandon their city. watchedthe image lying before him, the king sank into the seat.

(thank you) let me give you an impression of my hometown. that is a small village of yunnan province. there are many mountains, forests and rivers. if you go there, i promise you will be amazed by its beautiful landscape. because you just can touch the nature with your fingers and feelings. you can enjoy the blue sky, flying birds, waterfall, amazing sunset and many other sceneries. when i was a teenager, i often climbed these mountains and jumped into clear and clean river for a swim with my peers. however, after my graduation from high school, i came to beijing for college. i found something different. because when i raised my head, the sky’s color was not blue, but yellow. when i looked down, dirty and poisonous rivers are full of unrecyclable rubbish and giving out unpleasant smells. when i looked forward, so many people wore their mouth masks. everyone here complains weather and environment. it seems so inharmonious between man and nature. why?

as we know, in the past few centuries, human have made countless remarkable achievements in science and technology to explore the mysterious world better. conquering nature with powerful tools, people have achieved material prosperity. meanwhile, environment has been badly damaged. so a series of severe problems come along, such as species extinction, energy crisis, incurable diseases, the three main pollutions etc. all of these factors bring our beautiful planet disasters, humanity as well. let me show you some statistics. according to the report from world wide fund for nature, the species of entire world have declined by 52 % since 1970. that means about 75 kinds of precious species disappear forever from the earth each day. in addition, scientists claimed that human now need one and a half earth to meet the demand for natural resources. another frightening data from the un in 2012, there are almost 8.4 million people around the world who die of cancers caused by environmental issues every year. it is so horrible, isn’t it? man has taken too much from nature, also paid such a heavy price for it. if we don’t try to change these situations, what will happen one or two centuries later?

but, fortunately, the majority throughout the world are aware of the significance of environmental protection. much many individuals, environmentalists and organizations have taken actions spontaneously. companies donate part of their profits to support some green projects. moreover, government has carried out many policies to conserve endangered species, support green industries and encourage people to live a green life. from a global perspective, though it is a long journey to make the earth recovered and to live in harmony with it, i do believe that, with everyone’s efforts, we will finally get there.

all of the speakers prepared well for the speech. when the contest began, some of the speakers were very nervous as they were giving speech to the audience.

the thing that made me shocked was, when the speakers were giving a speech and the fellow students were so quiet that you could hear the speakers clearly. when our class speakers went up, our whole class was cheering, it was crazy. the speakers delivered their speeches very fluently that i couldn’t even do it so good.

i remember all of the speakers talked about their parents. they said all of the good things about their parents, but no one said their flaws. but i think everyone has already done a great job. they all did their best.
